Babesia microti

Babesia microti is an obligate intra-erythrocytic protozoan transmitted by the  same tick vectors that are responsible for the transmission of Lyme disease and HGE, causing flu-like symptoms as well as a malaria-like illness. Substrate Slides are prepared with infected mouse or hamster erythrocytes, where the merozoites are visible as compact inclusions by IFA staining.

IFA Test kits contain all components required for the assays, including detailed instructions.
