If you have never tried multi-antigen IFA slides, you should. We call them micro-IFA (MIF) because we provide antigen dots of purified bacteria, so the main source of non-specific reactivity has been removed for your viewing pleasure.
Flea-borne Typhus (endemic typhus) is caused by both Rickettsia typhi and Rickettsia felis. These agents are differentiated by both IFA and ELISA techniques. Fuller Laboratories offers both dual and individual tests for this disease.
